August Recap
August was an action – packed month that included an important accessibility initiative, wonderful summer days connecting with Ward F voters and getting ready for back to school!
Accessibility is one of my mandates as Trustee. Public education has a duty to provide high quality and accessible education for all Edmonton students. I’m delivering on this promise with the addition of an Accessibility Widget on my website nancyhunt.ca . The tool makes it easier for people with neuro-diversities such as Dyslexia, brain injuries or low vision to read the content, and also helps people with fine motor challenges to click on links more comfortably. I’d like to see a similar widget on epsb.ca.
Connecting with voters this month has been so enriching! Thank you to my campaign team for joining me door knocking in a variety of neighbourhoods. Together we chatted with hundreds of Ward F residents and have heard so many important stories of advocating for your kids. I’m committed to being your support as well as your voice in working through your education challenges.
And now we are back to school! I hope the transition is going smoothly for your family and wish you a safe and joyful fall!
